About Us

Most people are curious about animals, especially children. Sure we can learn about them from a book or a computer, but it isn’t the same. Most people have a desire to physically see and touch the animal, especially children. That is the only way to make a true connection. That is what Stay’N Connected is all about. Coming together as a group to enjoy a shared interest, and in doing so, making connections with the animals and each other.

We believe that true learning takes place when experiencing first hand the actual moments with the animals in their natural environment. Here at Stay’N Connected we have created a program in which classrooms and families can come experience farm life and learn about animals in a fun interactive way. We have a base curriculum that we tailor to suit the needs of the group. We modify the curriculum according to age, capabilities, and preferences in learning style.

Our view is that everyone can learn, just not in the same way sometimes. Our field trips include: a petting zoo, grooming the horses, classroom instructional time, hands on play activities including our large corn sensory bin, an arts and crafts activity, and a wagon ride. Before leaving you will have a chance to eat lunch in our Party Barn.

Additionally we present a review by one of our clients.
"Thank you so much for allowing us to a attend your wonderful program in Nassau County. Your staff was not only professional but also patient, informative. Let me give a little background concerning the group we work with. I own an agency where we provide services for developmentally delayed adults. They all live in their own homes and we go in each day to assist them with their daily living skills, shopping, medical appointments. etc. It is very hard to find things that is not only interesting for them to be able to participate in, but where they were so accepted. This alone makes you a star in our eyes. If you're looking for a good time and you like petting and feeding the animals, learning about the animals, arts and crafts, hay rides, and a big party barn to eat your lunch in then this is a place where you and your friends, family and any organization need to come. We have a wonderful time and we look forward to visiting again in October", 2013 Frances West- Individuals with Disabilities.
